I'm Owen Baum, a University of Colorado Boulder graduate in Strategic Communication: Advertising Strategy, and and avid outdoorsman and musician from Houston, Texas.

I ended up in advertising because music and fly fishing taught me the same lesson: you have to really look before you do anything. During a performance I listen to the absences in the song and adequately fill them. On the water, I watch each facet, the light, water, and movement before I finally make my calculated strike. This allows me to approach strategy the way I fish a river and play a song: analyze and attack.
